Trusted on the floor
What production teams and owners say about working together.
“The batch cards and check points changed how our shifts run. Product is the same every day now, and we can see wastage instead of guessing at it.”
“Thirty years on the floor shows. Problems we had lived with for years were identified in a single walk-through, and the fixes were practical — no expensive machinery, just better method.”
“The training was done standing at the machines with our own product. Our karigars understood it immediately, which no classroom session had ever achieved.”
Insights from the factory floor
Practical notes on production, quality and food safety for sweets manufacturers.
Five hidden wastage points in a sweets factory
Most units track only the visible waste — the spoiled batch. The expensive losses are the ones nobody writes down. Here is where the money actually leaks.
Why your mithai tastes different every batch (and how to stop it)
Batch-to-batch variation is almost never a recipe problem. It is a measurement problem. Here are the six variables that actually move taste, and how to lock each one down.
Training karigars: what works on the floor
Classroom training changes almost nothing in a sweets factory. Here is the approach that actually shifts behaviour on the line.
Frequently asked
Straight answers about how an engagement works.
What size of factory do you work with?
Everything from a 10-worker halwai unit moving into packaged production, up to organised plants running multiple lines. The approach is the same — the depth of documentation changes with scale.
Do you travel to the factory, or is this remote advice?
Almost all work is on site. Production problems are seen on the floor, not on a call. Remote review is used for follow-ups and for reviewing records between visits.
How is a consultancy engagement priced?
After a free discovery call and, where needed, a paid one-day audit. Pricing is then quoted against a defined scope — day rate for short engagements, monthly retainer for ongoing production management support.
Can you help us get FSSAI-ready?
Yes. GMP practices, hygiene systems, records and documentation are set up so the unit is genuinely compliant rather than just papered over before an inspection.
Will my team actually follow the new systems after you leave?
That is the whole point of the training component. SOPs are written in the language your team reads, supervisors are trained to run and verify them, and a follow-up review checks adherence after implementation.
Which languages do you work in?
Hindi and English. Floor documents and training are delivered in Hindi.
